What information we collect, why we collect it, who sees it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Effective date: July 28, 2026
Mad Debt ("we", "us", "our") takes the privacy of the people who contact us seriously. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can ask us to do with it. By using this website or our services you agree to the practices described here.
Information you give us. When you call us, email us, or go through a review of your situation, we collect things such as:
Information we receive from others. We may receive information about you from creditors, from the partner administering a program, or from a marketing partner who passed your enquiry to us.
Information collected automatically. Our web host records standard technical information when a page is requested, including IP address, browser type and version, device type, the pages viewed and the date and time.
Cookies and tracking. This website sets no cookies of its own. There is no analytics software, no advertising pixel and no tracking script on it. The one thing it does load from elsewhere is the Inter typeface, served by Google Fonts, which means Google receives the IP address of visitors in order to deliver the font file. No cookie is set by that request.
We do not sell your information to unrelated companies for their own marketing. Because we may be paid by a partner or lender for a referral, the disclosure of your information in that situation may count as a "sale" or "share" under California law. Section 6 explains how to opt out.
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, and we limit access to those who need it to do their job. No method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure, however, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the service and then for as long as we are required to keep records, after which it is deleted or anonymised. If you never enroll, we keep only what is needed to show why the enquiry was handled the way it was.
To exercise any of these, email info@maddebt.com or call (800) 709-1212. We will not treat you differently for exercising a privacy right.
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you specific rights over your personal information, including the right to know what we collect, to access it, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We extend those rights to anyone who asks, wherever they live.
Those rights, the categories of information we collect, and the steps for opting out are set out in full on our California Privacy Rights page.
Companies that arrange debt resolution and lending referrals are treated as financial institutions under the federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act. Where that Act applies to a program you enroll in, you will be given a separate privacy notice by the provider of that program, describing what they do with your information and any choices you have. That notice governs their handling of your information; this policy governs ours.
This site may link to websites we do not run, including those of lenders and program providers. Those websites have their own privacy policies and we are not responsible for how they handle your information. Please read their policies before giving them anything.
Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have, we will delete it.
We may update this policy from time to time. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new effective date at the top. We will not reduce your rights under this policy without telling you first.
